Hin Luk Bat is a small rocky outcrop just three kilometers southwest of Koh Chang, a thirty minutes boat ride south of Bang Bao pier. Hin means stone in Thai and refers to the many boulders littered at the ocean floor at fifteen meters deep. Some even reach the surface! Its steep walls are known to house pelagic species, while deeper waters are adorned with sea whips, gorgonians and several excellent examples of black coral. Marine species such as groupers, angel fish, clown fish and triggerfish are colourful and common. Although visibility is often less then ten meters it is considered as one of Ko Chang's top diving destinations. Mainly its numerous marine species, healthy soft corals and convenient location have awarded it this status. It is an easy and shallow dive site suitable for everyone.
