Ko Ha has a spectacular system of caves of which one can be surfaced ending up at a thirty meter high cathedral right inside the island.

Koh Ha is the last island on the way from Krabi to Ko Phi Phi and is a fine example of sheer cliffs dropping into the clear waters beneath them. She is known for a series of three chambers of which two are connected by a nine meter shallow swimthrough. The best part of diving in these caves named Ko Ha Yai is that you can surface inside the island to look at rock formations hanging down from the ceiling. This magnificent air pocket reaches until thirty meters above you. The light which enters from the cave opening filters through the water and gives the whole an unworldly magical atmosphere. Most divers start west of this huge cavern where there are some sea whips and coral heads up to 25 meter deep. Another cavern in the east has an opening at the back of its chamber that leads to a 25 meter long tunnel. Only enter with cave diving experience as this passageway is quite narrow and requires extra equipment.

Ko Ha is interesting for divers but also for snorkellers as there are quite a few shallow reefs. If you are good on air and stay shallow, you can make a long dive circling around the island's base. Porcupine fish, banded sea snakes, leopard sharks, lionfish, silver-lined barracudas, tuna and even turtles are often encountered here. Octopus and moray eels like to hide in the reef's cracks and crevices, while rays and bottom-dwelling leopard sharks often relax on the sand. Inside the caverns you will spot silversides, glassfish, crabs, harlequin shrimp, squid, lobsters and other marine life that shelters from the sunrays. The healthy reef offers more than sixty different species of corals combined with all the other characteristics of this dive make it one never to forget.
