Hin Wong Pinnacle is one twenty meter large coral head named after its many purple coloured soft corals.

Hin Wong Pinnacle or Purple Pinnacle is another dive site known for its spectacular huge and steep pinnacles starting at fourteen meters going all the way down to the bottom at forty meters. This large sheltered bay east of Ko Tao is covered with big boulders resulting in many exciting swim-throughs. Visibility can be low and currents can be extremely strong, making this bay not accessible at all at times. This exposure to the eastern winds and the fact that it is not the easiest dive site to reach, make it a quiet but often beautiful dive site.

Sweetlips, parrot fish, rabbit fish and huge clams are some of the sights. Pieces of whip and finger coral, sea fans and mainly purple soft corals can be found at the deeper locations while brilliant hard coral formations and its inhabitants dominate the shallower parts. Green and hawksbill turtles can be found sleeping and hiding in one of the many overhangs. It is a great remote place to go and if the weather is good it is a place where you can see coral as it was years ago.
