Ko Tachai Plateau or the Dome as she is often called as well is one of the best dive sites near this small island. She is located at less than one kilometer south and consists out of a large plateau at thirteen meters deep and drops to depths of thirty five meters. She is a submerged crowned reef of sheet corals with many boulders at its base which have created excellent swimthroughs. The large round rocks are often used as shelter for the heavy current that always prevails.
Several other great fish can be spotted here. Batfish which are being cleaned, all the species of angel fish, the often aggressive red-toothed trigger fish and stonefish being camouflaged good enough for incautious divers to miss them. There is a whole range of tropical fish that lives off its healthy coral. You can see leopard sharks, unicorn fish, turtles; a dive site with exhilarating diving possibilities.
