Koh Bon is an island about an hour north of the Similans and an hour south of the Surin Archipelago. Its scenery above water is as spectacular as underwater. There is a round opening on the island's west point that allows you to look straight through the steep cliffs on the island. The island is made of limestone and lacks the pristine white beaches other islands have who are all made out of granite.
Its remoteness have made it one of the top diving locations in Thailand. Whale sharks, manta rays and sharks are common but even when you don't see them you won't be disappointed. This place if teeming with life such as reef fish, pastel shaded soft corals, anemones and sea sponges. Recently the mantas are spotted year-round and there are divers who have seen more than eight on a single dive.
