Another Similan favourite is Breakfast Bend named after its beautiful early morning sunlight right after breakfast. Once you enter the water you most probably visit the reef slope between five and fifteen meters. There its main characteristic changes to a huge wall which drops down to thirty meters deep in an angle of 45 degrees. Some of the animals that live near the wall are barracuda, leopard sharks and white tip reef sharks. There are loads of plate corals to be admired, but it is the action around the steep drop-off that made diving here famous. Breakfast Bend remains spectacular even despite the results of December 2004's Tsunami which ruined a lot of Ko Similan, Similan's largest island.
