South Tip is an extremely high current dive site famous for its pelagic action, pinnacle landscape and manta rays.

The most popular dive site of Koh Racha Noi is probably its most southern point named South Tip, South Pinnacle or Ray Bahn at just 150 meter from the mainland. These rocks forming a small plateau are highlighted with fine soft corals, crinoids, feather stars and forests of huge sea fans. Similar in underwater topography like its northern brother North Tip, South Tip is a bit deeper (up to below seventy meter) and has better coverage of blooming coral. It is well worth the extra thirty minutes sailing.
The south of Koh Racha Noi experiences some of the strongest currents in the Andaman Sea and is therefore popular for manta rays and eagle rays in January and February. Currents are so extremely strong that this dive sites is not considered safe during full moon and new moon and is often closed at that time. When you descent to the few large granite boulders that start at a depth of eighteen meters, you will feel yourself surrounded by ocean powers. Pelagic life such as tuna, jacks and chevron barracuda will be swimming in big circles around you. Many tropical coral fish but also white tip reef sharks, leopard sharks and wrasses are often spotted to improve its beauty. Sharks and stingrays often sleep at the bottom in the sand so make sure you at least take a look there. It is a dive site for experienced divers mainly because of depth, currents and surface swells.
