Near the coast of Sattahip is a rocky ridge named Submarine Rock because it vaguely resembles a submarine. It lies just east of Ko Khram (remember that it is a restricted naval base so approach from the west) and thirty kilometres south of Pattaya. You will find many gorgonian sea fans, barrel sponges and several types of hard coral in the brightest colours. Turtles, stingrays, large groups of yellow fusilier, pufferfish and angelfish are some common species. They hide, play and swim in between, around and across the many small rocks, all situated on top of a nice sandy ocean floor.
