Diving in the South of Thailand, Trang and around

The Trang region is located just south of Phuket going all the way to the Malaysian border. Tourism hasn't kept up here with its northern neighbors. English is still not very common and most of the dive sites are only accessible by live-aboards often starting from Phuket and Ko Phi Phi. The best time to visit this part of Thailand is from October to April, when it's dry and land temperatures are around 25 degrees. Water temperatures are between 25 degrees in winter and 28 degrees in summer.

The dive sites that made the Trang region famous are Hin Muang and Hin Daeng (purple and red rock), so try to do these sites while in the region.
