Koh Khrok is a small private rocky and finger shaped island situated in between Ko Lan and Pattaya city. With only five kilometers away from shore this is a busy dive site but also known as one of the best diving locations this close to Pattaya. With the help of the government and donors, environmental organisations have made the first step in recovering the underwater world and initiated projects to encourage coral growth.
The tidal flow on the west side of the island creates a high current drift dive along a ten meter high wall. Halfway the drift you will find a beautiful garden of dense soft coral, sea anemones and its attendant clownfish. This garden is a great point to get out of the current and enjoy this small mini paradise for a while before continuing your drift. Along the wall you will often find some pelagic such as barracuda's but also stonefish and stingrays are very common at this high speed dive site. It is one of the best places to spot a sea turtle or two.
