Just southeast of Koh Nang Yuan, one kilometer from Sairee Beach off Koh Tau, lies a spectacular dive site known as Nang Yuan Pinnacle. Its Thai name is Hin Daeng (Red Rock) which is a cylindrical rock often dived by spiralling down and enjoying all its brilliant soft coral, marine life and coral formations. Its eastern side drops down from the surface to 21 meters deep. A large crevice can be found halfway at 15 meters deep which if filled with coral trout, soldier fish and pink whip rays. It is a like a mini version of dive sites famous all around the world such as Sail Rock and nearby Twins. Its western side is a bit less steep where a cave can be reached after swimming across a small canyon. It is actually more a large overhang or swimthrough which has entries and exits at several depths. Luminous sun light enters the cave through the small cracks in the ceiling which creates an unreal atmosphere. Nudibranches, cowries and sweetlip can be found in the more secluded corners of the cave.

Granite boulders, rock formations, coral heads and marine life is exceptional healthy. Larger pelagic are less frequently seen and visibilities can drop to five meters at times but normally this area hosts some excellent diving and snorkelling. Expect to see species such as long fin banner fish, titan triggerfish and Moorish idols.
