Just southeast of Phuket sits one of the most crowded and most promoted dive regions in Thailand. Ko Hi, Ko Hey, Hey Island and Coral Island has an excellent variety of healthy hard corals and an abundant and divers marine life. They are situated in Chalong Bay at only a few kilometres south of Rawai and are suitable for diving year around because of its sheltered position. The island is a marine conservation project but nevertheless she is filled with resorts, restaurants, bars, water sports and all sorts of boat tours.

Diving Ko Hi is often done at two white sanded beaches in the north of the island and near some rocky points in the east and west tips. Be careful when surfacing as boat traffic such as long tail boats, jet skis and banana boats can be a serious hazard.
