Batfish Bend is located at the northeast corner of Koh Bangu, one of the northern most dive sites in the Similans, Thailand. It is a dive site which draws fewer crowds and is therefore a quiet beauty on it selves. Its name is coming from a large school of fifty long fin batfish that cannot be missed here. If you approach them real easy you will most probably see a very close look at them.

But many other tropical fish and marine life besides batfish can be spotted here. Several species of banner fish, butterfly fish, sea cucumbers, unicorn fish and some of the last remaining Napoleon wrasses. Sharks such as leopard sharks often hide under some small boulders, dogtooth tuna hunt at smaller fish and chevron barracuda hover out in the blue. There are cleaning stations and its hard and soft coral is divers and healthy. A pretty but quiet site which you may enjoy if you want to get away from the crowds.
